Last March 31, we celebrated our first Cancer Fair in cooperation with the Philippine Oncology Center Corporation, with the main purpose of creating a Support Group for cancer patients.

The event was led by Dr. Rosalinda Pulido, our in-house Medical Oncologist and was graced by Dr. Malen Gellido, our in-house Surgical Oncologist and St. Cabrini Cancer Institute’s Medical Director.

It is a fact that around 14.1 million new cases of cancer occurred globally and caused about 14.6% of all human deaths based on a 2012 statistics and this support group aims at helping patients go through the various painful stages of cancer, everything from physical to emotional to psychological.

Although the main Support Group, composed of the St. Cabrini Cancer Institute itself, will always be ready and willing to help cancer patients, we have created a CORE Support Group which is always ready to provide a more personalized care for our cancer patients. This CORE Support Group is made up of everyone who we know can and will understand everything about the disease from its physical, emotional, psychological effects, thus providing a well-rounded care for the patient. The group is composed of a cancer survivor, an oncologist, a social worker, a nursing staff of St. Cabrini Cancer Institute currently undergoing cancer treatment and so we guarantee you that they will understand your plight more than anyone else.

If you are interested in our support group, please give us a call at 778-4811 to 18 or visit us at St. Cabrini Cancer Institute in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

We would also like to thank our sponsors for without them this event will not be possible.
