A woman is one of God’s greatest creation, better than the one where He pulled a part of to create her. Such strong and beautiful creatures they were that a day was set aside to honor them and their achievements.

All around the world, International Women’s Day represents an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of women from different walks of life. International Women’s Day was originially known as International Working Women’s Day and is celebrated every 8th of March. The event started as a socio-political event but at present, in some countries, the event lost its political flavor and is simply celebrated to show their love for women. The month where this event was incorporated was soon recognized as International Women’s Month.
St. Cabrini Cancer Institute recognizes the power of women in our society such that we created the Buntis Day Fair to honor that greatest essence of becoming a woman, the sacred phase of carrying life within her.

Buntis Day Fair was celebrated last March 14, 2015 as part of our celebration of International Women’s Month. The event’s main speaker is our in-house Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Dr. Lloren Javier-Cura. It was an engaging social affair for both pregnant women and doctors. Layman terms were used to answer the soon-to-be-moms questions that made it easier for them to understand more about their circumstance. Freebies and prizes were distributed and we are more than happy to provide a bonding atmosphere between these women.
